I'll position it to only cover my crack with a corner of the drape, I'll leave it folded on the small of my back or on the end of the table. I usually make several comments about the heat and kick the drape off of my legs if they fully drape me. It works most of the time. Usually I ask when first setting up the appointment "What is your draping policy?" Usually it's fully draped but you'll find some that say whatever you're comfortable with. My understanding is the law only requires them to offer you a cover.

In my opinion what has worked the best for me is to pull out some money pay them and then count what is left and say well that leaves me with a hundred to spare.
