It is not a reward but $20 is just enough of a distraction to make a non-dramatic getaway- I gave a $50 to someone one time in Atl that came to my Hotel and had (accidentally I'm sure) checked the wrong gender box in their ad ("She" must have realized "her" mistake because "she" wore a very nice dress to try and conceal the error) I explained that she was very lovely but just not my type, that I preferred Blondes (or whatever hair color "she" was not) and gave her $50 for her trouble. "She" left without a fuss.

I might add here about the debate on trouble at no matter what star hotel you are staying. I was at a very nice 4 or 5 star hotel in Atl on NYE for a Concert, and have to think that if I had been in a 1 star motor lodge somewhere they may have not been so willing to leave without trouble. JMHO.

I love how we're able to chime in with different perspectives about many topics and this one falls under the heading of easing out of a potentially bad situation. I had a visit with a provider a few months ago where it could have taken a turn for the worst. She initially asked how much did I want to spend and I told her that I never bargain or haggle with a provider over donations. I only ask that they give the best that they can and actually act like they want to be there. We agreed on a buck twenty for half an hour. Five minutes (maybe) of flute playing she was saying you're ready to go and at that point I wasn't sure if I wanted FS or for her to continue playing the flute. Either way it was my decision so I responded by saying please continue and I'll let you know if and when I'm ready for something else plus this was a covered job. She then responds "well I'm not going to suck all day" unless this is what you want and this was all in 5 minutes. At this point I'm deflating faster than the footballs in deflate gate LOL. She knows now that the fan is getting ready to have something hit it so she desperately tries to get me going again but to no avail and frankly I had lost interest because of her attitude. I stopped the visit within 8 minutes but I told her to keep the donation. She earned herself a bad review but I didn't want any negative attention getting my money back. I totally understand dropping a $20 to avoid a bad situation and you chalk it up to experience.

Sometimes you are better off dropping the "Jackson" with the individual that has baited you for a couple of reasons. 1) You are at a place that is new to you and you are not sure who is lurking around. So a small cancellation fee would somewhat eliminate a confrontation from another party. 2) It eliminates the possibility of creating a public scene that would draw unwanted attention.
