Back to room and after about 5 minutes asked what I wanted. Gave her a range depending on how we got along. She was upfront that anything was 2. 0 above house. She wouldn't budge and explained anything above HE was 1. 8 or 2. 0. Told her I was not interested. She said that was deal and essentially take it or leave it. She massages a little more and said to turn over. Figured she may waiver but she crawled up on foot of bed for the HE and sat there so there could be no contact at all. That is exactly what I recalled the last lady did from last visit there, so must be their standard. She did do a nice HE and it was done. In and out in about 25 minutes. She definitely has GPS and must be getting that rate. Sunstar is definitely off my list for good.

You booked TS + 60 minutes and, after the hard upsell and a "No thanks" from you, she could have gone a couple of different ways that would have been acceptable. First choice, she could have completed the 60 min massage + HJ, for which I think a $40 tip (the going rate everywhere else) would have been fair. Second choice, she could have completed the 60 min massage with nothing extra, for which I think a 20% tip ($20 if feeling generous) would have been fair.

But she chose what, IMHO, was the unacceptable option of cutting your session short by more than half. Even with a decent HJ at the end, that doesn't offset the BS upsell and 50% shorting of time.

Some might think that's too drastic, but I see tipping as a way of communicating how pleased or displeased I am with the service and I have no problem using that communication method to make a point. I also never make such a drastic statement if there's any chance I might visit again in the future. But, with the scenario you describe, I'd almost certainly never repeat so "No Tip" would be my way of saying goodbye, good riddance, and maybe prompting some rethinking on their part. Also, if there a MMS available, I'd make sure she was aware of the situation.

It would be great karma if a bunch of mongers would visit this place in the near future and for every one who got the same crap treatment to walk out with little or no tip. That would send a big time message that we're not a bunch of idiots who can be conned and taken advantage of. They need our $ much more than we need their extras. And there are plenty of good options out there.

Yes this is the same place we are referring to. Not sure what system they are using. I'm wondering if that was the same suite as the Falls Church crapshoot place I visited three weeks ago. When I visited the room had both a table and a bed; all activities took place on the table. I'd never seen a massage table in an Asian crapshoot place prior to that visit. Perhaps they subleased an old massage establishment, although there are multiple suites with several different businesses on the same floor.
