The problem is we don't know who's trying to use it or not. It would be great if board authorities would simply delete it.

We keep it in the abbreviations because guys use them, not because they have to use them. If there is a string of $ symbols it's a good bet what it is. If there is $150.00 then that means 150 dollars.

I completely agree with you. "When in Rome" and all that so I don't want to go against the grain but what really is the purpose of this? I understand if there weren't a page that explains exactly what they mean but if a person that is here with ill intent can easily figure it out anyway does it help to attempt to obfuscate?
