I have used paypal, which is a lot easier to keep anonymous and is easier with disputes. Problem is most of the young SBs act like paypal is as antiquated as a personal check.

It's possible to have a different name on your Venmo.

Not trying to side track too much from the forum's topic. The exact reason I used CC is that I could file a dispute. I don't think the recipient sees any of my financial information. Maybe just my name but I don't have an internet presence (no social media at all. If I Google myself, nothing comes up). So I'm not too worry about privacy if they know my name.
