I've been wondering for awhile how much those LEO license-plate scanners are being used for general surveillance and database logging. Once they scan all these plates at every hotel in the area over the span of a month. They will have a certain subset of plates that keep showing up in hotel parking lots around town (assuming different LEO departments share these plate numbers). If you happen to be one of those plates, LEO will either have to assume you work in the hospitality industry and deliver supplies to hotels, or you're a monger doing naughty things with bad girls. Gut feeling tells me they will pick choice #2.

Something to think about given how we now live in the Surveillance States of America.
