I don't understand why that was the make or break point in the conversation. Again, it's OK to try to negotiate something, but why get upset or offended when she sticks to her guns? I think you get a little farther a by agreeing with her for the most part and saying "well we can discuss that later" or something to that effect. I didn't get upset, I just didn't want to waste my time. Why would someone want to see someone who doesn't want their business. That's really stupid.
