I don't know the technology behind it but she will tell you that she needs to prove you are real by texting you a link where you need to enter a code that is provided. If you search "Google voice code scam", it will explain it to you.

The first one is a Google voice code scam designed to get control of your phone number, and the other is your basic gift card scam. A Google image search will also reveal the model's name who is used in the second ad.
