I highly doubt you could argue age of consent when money is exchanged. I doubt a jury would believe consent is possible when you are paying her. You definitely did the right thing. If she wasnt LEO, I hope she opens her eyes before someone less ethical gets ahold of her.

I think most likely SA completely wiped the records. A 16 year old cannot be bound to a contract (terms of use) so SA would have a basis to wipe the account especially in the days of FOSTA. Basically, she should have never been on the site. If it were Uncle Louise trying a dragnet, most likely would just set up an account and it would show as deleted. Unless they were getting cooperation from SA.

I'm curious if she blocked you if the old messages still appear, maybe she blocked you to keep from being reported. I think it's a good idea not to share her tag, though you might be able to see if she just blocked you by making another account and looking for her.

We'll, you definitely did the right thing. Legally and morally. As soon as I think someone on any on-line or in-person situation is less than 18, I immediately stop all contact and block their profile and / or phone number. I actually prefer 21 as my minimum. At least I can have a drink with her and not expose myself to some bs charge. So even if your encounter involved LE, you did all you could be expected to do. You encountered a minor who lied about her age on a dating website, and as soon as you found out her age, you stopped all contact. BTW, my last couple of successful SA women were recent college grads in that 22 to 24 range that realized their first job wasn't quite up to meeting their rent, car payment, and college loans.
