What matters is that they don't pay property tax yet benefit from police, fire, etc. , services, unlike every other business downtown.

And there is no way to know what businesses would "develop" there if that property wasn't "tax free".

And let's not forget. The Landing is effectively being dumped because there isn't a demand for it as a retail space.

But hey, whatever. I'm not here to talk politics, but about finding women.

The fact that the church, oh, "significantly influences", our politics is relevant to this thread.

Though yeah. Perhaps it is a woodshed discussion.

So don't be calling me a Lib. Them's fighting words Libertarian, old school. But Liberal, as in today's ideology? No way.

I just think all churches should be subject to taxation for their properties. The exemption is no longer relevant in many ways.
I think so too. I rather have them focus on raising enough money to stay open than spoiling everybody else's fun.

The hobby is risky enough but I don't get why yall, try to get some relief where chances are better that theres a camera somewhere in the building (AMPs or clubs) or easy for le to set one up than the other choices. In krafts case, he probably just got sloppy because hes used to getting whatever he wants, but the average joe?
Yes, I couldn't have said it myself. These providers are very privileged in that they can ride the cock carousel and get money at the same time. Men don't have the option of being paid for their sexuality and women won't even think of paying a man for companionship. So, they cheer on a chick that got paid to get laid all day, get high and not work or contribute to society. If she gets tired of it or wants to retire. Well two good options are find a rich beta male captain save a ho then divorce him and leave with all his money or they go into the victimhood industry. Cashing in on their story. Yes, the average guy has to play 4 D chess with the hobby just to get some action and that gets exhausting.

It is unfathomable to me that a judge signed off on that especially where explicit sexual activity is possibly being performed. Second, maybe this is a good thing. The guys that are involved have a lot of money. Let me repeat that "THEY HAVE A LOT OF MONEY!" Therefore, they can fight back against the government. This situation reminds me, somewhat, of the development and expansion of pornography. Fifty years ago, porn was mostly available at movie theaters. It could also be purchased, but it was very expensive. That all changed when the government dragged the actors, producer, and director of "Deep Throat" into court. From what I recall, they were initially found guilty but it was all thrown out on appeal. As a result, pornography went mainstream with very few restrictions which eased even more with the growth of the digital world. If my assessment or correlation / analogy is correct, and I believe that it is, then these guys could potentially end the constant police intrusion into the world of the AMP that we see so very often. Is it possible that the government has made a big mistake regarding AMPs, which has the possibility to backfire on them, resulting in legitimacy for our neighborhood AMP? Or is it possibly more like the situation surrounding the demise of Backpage? In that case, the government proved that BP knew about and promoted underage prostitution. However, in the end, alternatives have filled the void previously occupied by BP. Just a couple of thoughts.

    Shaggy.
I would HOPE a police force in any city would IMMEDIATELY shut a place down if trafficking was suspected. NOT get a warrant to have cameras installed to catch them in the act.

That just reeks of political nonsense. And makes them JUST AS GUILTY if not MORE SO to those involved IF they are in fact trafficking girls.

If it looks like a fish and smells like a fish. Well. You know, as Paul Harvey (RIP) would have said 'the rest of the story'.

US is 38 in freedom, it's OK to invade and kill hundreds of thousands of people, but sex is a crime.

The city council will demand something be done but the chief will counter with the standard "I don't have enough cops on the streets and need more funds". We have an election for the mayor coming up too so that will play into it. It will twist into a political hot potato.

    Recent AMP raids

The raids were part of a statewide operation from our state law enforcement (FDLE).

It is safe to assume that local parlors are a target.

This is what the alliane of sex workers in Australia has to say to the charges leveled by various 4th wave groups that have "all sex work is trafficking" as their mantra http://www.scarletalliance.org.au/is.../10reasons_07/.

It's becoming so apparent that legal prostitution is a benefit to society that the 4th wave and religious right are funding fake studies to "document" the rise of trafficking in countries where commercial sex is legal https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.3c7b40115543.

Will this finally, at long last be a catalyst that changes the perception of commercial sex in the USA.

Probably not, fucking Americans love their holier than thou attitudes.

I guess that I see these recent events in south-central Florida as government overreach. I mean, from what I have read, a worker on the inside may have alerted the police that something illegal may be happening. But surreptitiously filming people having sex, without their consent, is just, in itself, an horrible act. What if, for example, a junior high student were to alert the police that students were selling drugs in the gym locker room. Is there any parent that would say that it would be acceptable for the police to place a hidden camera in the junior high gym locker room to film the goings on? I would be outraged at that and, I believe, rightfully so. Just another thought on the subject.

    Shaggy.
