She said that's why she uses the Motel 6 in Kannapolis: she's friends with the manager and he doesn't require I'd.

She was at the Motel 6 off I-85. This place shares a parking lot with the Waffle House. There is a row of parking down the front of the motel and a row down the back. The only way into the back area is a small driveway that passes the office. The parking areas aren't connected so you can't drive all the way around the building.

About 15 minutes before my arrival, she messaged me and said she was starving and asked if I minded waiting while she got lunch at the WH. I said I didn't mind and she stepped out for lunch.

I arrived while she was at WH. She said her room was on the back side of the Motel and for me to park on the very end, which I did. I'm sitting there for about 20 minutes, waiting on her to return and a blacked out Ford sedan pulls into the front lot across from me, with about 20 feet of grass between us. Tinted windows all around. I could make out two 40 ish white males with crew cuts in the front. Two very small flashers tucked into the grill. They park and one hops out, papers in hand and starts up the wrong side of the building, comes back, gets in the car again and drives to the WH.

At this point, I bail. I'm stuck in the back lot with an easily blockable exit and reason to believe the cops are looking for her. I roll out. I see Paris walking back into the Motel. I wave at the cops as I pass them returning from the Waffle House and head down the road and wait 5 minutes. I returned, pulled into the Waffle House and analyzed things. The black sedan is now out back where I was. Another unmarked has shown up, a silver Ford SUV with some very discrete flashers tucked in around the rear brake lights. The SUV has parked in that little driveway separating the front and back lot. So no one can get out of the back. He parked in such a way as to completely block the road.

I call her (we had only texted previously). She answers and immediately asks if I'm LEO. I said that I was not but that they're all over the place outside. She said she saw them and asked for details about what all I saw. As I'm telling her this, you can tell she's scared to death. Then, I can hear the loud knock at the door and then she goes silent.

My guess is she has a warrant which is why she can't leave a paper trail (show an I'd at check in) and that's what they were there to execute. The tone in her voice was genuine. She was terrified and frustrated. I do NOT think she's part of a sting. But I think I barely missed getting caught with my pants down.

Everyone here talks about the "spidey-sense". I tried to meet her last week and just got this ultra wrong vibe so I just stayed home.

While I was waiting for her to finish lunch, I got that same feeling and then the first cop showed up. I hate not seeing her. She was genuinely sweet in our conversations and she's gorgeous. But I had to get the hell out of there.

For all I know, they were there to arrest someone else. But it's going to take a very honest conversation with her before I'll even consider trying to see her again.

P.S. Fuck this hobby. It's almost easier to date like a normal person.
