At first, I would let the VPN assign a country automatically. But I use Google Voice for texts and GV didn't like it when I tried to login from some other country. It would ask for two-factor authentication, which is a pain, because my burner usually isn't handy, and keep sending me emails about attempted hacking. So now I always set VPN to US and its been working very smoothly.

I'm upfront with the long term ones because they're going to figure it out eventually. With the one offs they usually don't give a shit. I've gotten rejected for being married which is fine. There's such a good ratio of ladies to guys on SA that I just play the numbers (10000+ of them 3000 of us). Block all the ones I'm not attracted to or want platonic and then favorite the ones I'd like to meet.

Current roster:

23 yr old stripper who is rinsing the shit out of me but she's the hottest piece I've ever met. She likes dating married men.

29 yr old grad student who DTs better than anyone I've ever had. She asks about my wife all the time which is annoying.

31 yr old cosmetologist who's kind of a b* but does everything bare. Has never even asked about my home life.

So I guess it depends in the situation.
