I believe so they can lie to get you to confess. Example they can hook you up to a lie detector and show you the results from someone else and say your lying look at your results to trick you into confessing or lie and say someone else you got stopped with signed a confession naming you to trick you into confessing its legal and the Supreme Court ruled in the past LEO can lie to get you to confess.

Reality is that LEO can say or do anything they want in order to incriminate you. With the exception of an illegal act or crime. So yes, LEO can lie to you in order to catch you. Lying is not a crime. Another fallacy is when someone says "touch me" here or there. As if that somehow confirms you are not LEO. This is wrong too! LEO can and does do all of those things. To make it worse, LEO can break the law to incriminate / catch you. When under judges order such as when running a sting. The judge allows certain activities such as bait ads that promote prostitution. Smart providers don't post rates with a menu. Stupid providers sometimes do. LEO definitely does. Think about it, an ad that has rates and a menu listed is promoting prostitution. When you respond to the ad, and definitely when you show up at the location, you are already guilty of soliciting. Follow the 30 rules of mongering, use your gut instincts to reduce the risk but always know that even then there is a risk you are taking.
