P.S. Collusive Oligopoly might also be called a cartel. Both are inherently unstable because one provider can undercut the price set by the other cartel members and reap lots of economic benefits.

SL: If your analysis is correct, you have the wrong conclusion-- send the pimp (or anyone who seeks to exploit the dancers or dictate prices) to Vegas, or better yet to Leavenworth or Siberia. Let the dancers have the freedom to be entrepreneurs and sell their services as they see fit and without coercion from pimps.

I should note that I've seen a number of clubs where the dancers (not pimps) pressure each other, especially newbies, to keep prices unrealistically high. There is a simple solution to price fixing-- take your money elsewhere, as to a different club.

I agree 100%. The high prices have nothing to do with pimps. It's all because of the stripper union, the girls pinky promise in the locker room not to even look at a dick for under X amount. I wish pimps had their hand in it more, then the girls would be on time and wouldn't spend half their shift in the locker room doing drugs and texting their loser BFs.

The opposing force to that is as Electroman says, Competition, because the collusion is limited to within the club confines, for a bunch of reasons. Price too high, go elsewhere. Simple. Too bad my econ prof never took us on a field trip to the SC's, would have been a great lesson.

+1 to Holden. I might have taken an economics class if the prof had more "hands on" learning experiences in a strip club.

They had eight dancers, basically all 7's, and ten customers when I arrived. Familiar peelers were Candy-7. 75, Nikki now Lucy-7, and Rain-7. 25. Overall, it was a decent looking lineup today.

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago. Candy quoted my 400 and I laughed. She went down to 180 and said what a huge favor she was doing me. I said, 120 she said no and I walked. Who the fuck pays 400 for a pop at a strip club LOL.
