Mine was in IL, get a lawyer, try to get them to change it to trespass, still a misdemeanor, but doesn't look as bad for job apps etc. See if it can be expunged after a few years. Lawyers worth the cost!
careful of the lawyers, some charge a lot per ct date, some have flat fees no matter how many ct dates. when I was going, our illustrious gov. layed off half the states court recorders and ct was changed a few times, when I finally got my day, the states atty was no longer allowed to barter the charge down, my lawyer said we could go to trial and then they would barter to get the conviction, I didn't have the money to pay my lawyer for that though. I just got a year supervision, which was nothing as long as I didn't get arrested for anything. when I get the money.. ill pay my lawyer to expunge it. ( that was a 3 year wait for expungement)
