Whenever I enter an establishment I scope the area out, not only for the quality of dancers but also people who may look out of place. In the past I did spot a UC, I observed what he was drinking and how removed he was from the entertainment.

I later made an attempt to verify with the waitress by asking what type of drink he was having, she said it was just coke. I late verified with the bar tender that the individual was a LEO and had been there before. Anyways this is hardly fool proof but in our sport you have to use all and any tricks to avoid unwanted situations.

Just to be clear, I am not questioning your call on if or if not he was LEO. Just wanted to throw it out there that I only drink coke (actually diet coke) in these places.
