I think the gist was that The Saint texted him but from someone elses phone that she had been using saying she was "positive". But being the time frame he thinks it was someone pretending to be her to mess up her business because he was mad he could not find her or something like that.

She was using a text app. She would log in from different people's phones. If she didn't log out, they could see everyone calling or texting her and even respond to the texts. My guess is she probably borrowed some money from them and never came back so they were trying to get back at her. Mike was right about her probably being gone for a looooong time though. Damn.
