I like the fact that you make sure she's the one getting the main work coming through the doors. This alone shows her that you care and that she will stick with you as long as the work gets funneled towards her.
It's not often you see a massage parlor professionally managed. Usually greed is the first level of management. You are in it for the long term.
But indeed she holds her own. I also found her to be attractive. Her massage was good and believe it or not she could tell what was bothering me without me telling her.
I also like the fact that I got the whole hour and she very personable to spite her English. Man, I'm so glad I bought those gift certificates in August. What a great deal that was. And the money I save I can use it for tipping. That's a win-win.
I'll stop in next time I'm in Buffalo Grove time permitting of course.

Posts: 1583I agree. There is no need to go there other than special treatment. If I want a legit massage there's a lot better looking women out there. Sorry but that's the reality.

Posts: 1121Check the Chicago boards under European Massage. There's some reports of action, but I don't think that's the norm. I never had any luck there.

Has anyone tried Massage Mantra in Northbrook? It looks legit but it was advertising on bedpage.

Nothing. Saw Melissa last week 109 new policy. When she came in the room first words no touching! Been going there well over a year always left happy. For $80 might as well go upstairs and get a REAL massage for same money no he either.

Posts: 34Yes, not much to be had
Just saw her for a half. Went in for melisa, but figured to try something new. Cute Latina in nice shape. Mediocre massage, towel on full time. No dice on the 'roll over' never went above knees and stood as far away from the table as possible. Too bad really.

I used to go there, kind of had a thing for one of the girls there. Still keep in touch. Good, legit massage. I have not had or been offered any extras or even self service, although I've read reviews saying self service was done. (yawn).

Yep! That describes the two I saw, that's why I left. I wonder about another place not far from there though. May try this one soon unless anyone knows anything about it.

Posts: 173Review of the new Highland Park place, stolen from GeorgeHerbert
Found a review of Yuan Spa on one of the other boards, this is not mine, just lifted from a newer member called GeorgeHerbert:
Highland Park.
A Sunday evening visit to the place advertising itself either on Layaural Avenue or Laurel Avenue. Inexpensive for the area, and you get what you pay for. Not one word of English, the younger therapist is a heavyset 50's. The older therapist looks light she fought against the Japanese in World War Two. One of those interesting hours where ten minutes in you wished you had paid for the half-hour. Bruises up and down the spine. She followed that with bruises placed carefully along each shoulder blade. I guess I shouldn't have requested the bone-only massage with my phone's Chinese translator. I was ready to leave at twenty-five minutes, so that is what I did. The therapist was very confused, but pleasant. She helped me tie my shoes, and gave me a yellow mango on my way out the back door. In the end, a half-hour spent along with sixty dollars and a five in tip to learn there was such a thing as yellow mangoes. On the way back to my car I looked around downtown Highland Park and wondered WTF. Unsure if it is legit or not, but either way it will only be in business a few more months at most.

Posts: 173Yeah, cracked me up when I saw the ad for their spa!
It's one of the reasons I haven't tried them out, I assumed everything to be way overpriced if it's called Yuan Spa. I don't have unlimited monger funds. Most of it goes towards regular therapeutic massage these days. Which reminds me, I should come by again sometime, it's been a while since Mei has worked my bad back.

Yuan is the Chinese Currency. So they were sort of saying "Money Spa". Bob.
