Not to mention the fact they helped make the city more unsafe. I'm guessing some of the patrons were seeking some form of companionship and or needed attention which turned into a higher number of rapes or possibly worse.

Not sure I'd go that far in my speculation, since AMP patrons tend not to be (or so it seems) the type who would resort to rape. More likely, they'd just find another outlet for their desires elsewhere.

Though that article is over 20 years old, Eerock, what it describes still seems like yesterday. Sad, that the District eventually managed to shut down (most of) the AMPs within its jurisdiction. As the neighboring businesses noted, the AMP girls were customers, decent and polite customers at that. Furthermore, most of the patrons of those AMPs were likely also that way. The closure of the AMPs, which try to keep a low profile, means that the District has deprived itself of money being spent within the community. And, with less money spent at local businesses (by both the AMP girls and the AMP patrons), the tax revenues for the city dropped a little. Somehow, this city never seems able to get things right. And, the lefties who populate and dominate that city, the same people who always seem to be saying "Live and let live," are the ones who can't stand the fact that somebody, somewhere, is doing something that they do not approve of and cannot regulate.

Gave this one a whirl based on board traffic. Strong recommend, she's older but still petite and pretty nice legs. As I recall, the old Golden Spa on US29 (Lee Highway) in Merrifield used to be located in DC at the corner of Prospect Street and Potomac Street in Georgetown. They moved to Merrifield in the mid-to-late 1990's and lasted for a number of years before finally closing. As for table showers here in NoVA, it is hit or miss. The AMPs in Arlington are precluded from having them by county ordinance. Fairfax County has some places that have them, others that don't. The ones in NoVA that are further out from DC are hit and miss too.
