No truck parking but some truckers cruise Michigan Ave and make pickups. Just remember LE might take your truck if you get busted.

First time coming to Detroit. I drive a semi and will be coming tomorrow sometime. I seen 2 places on fort, a Sunoco, and BP that has truck parking. Is this area safe to stay for the night and is there good SW's in this area? Any and all info appreciated! If ever in at Louis, indianapolis, or Memphis, I can return the favor on the best spots with the best SW's.

There's not as much SW traffic on Fort as there used to be but if you park at that Sunoco you'll see some. Michigan Ave is a much heavier stroll and a little bit safer area than Fort. There are truck stops off Michigan on Wyoming and also Central I believe, I think one of them is called Oasis. But the SW'ers are mainly about a mile from those truck stops so you might have to find a spot to park on Mich Ave for a minute. There's a Macdonalds and a Telway that are open 24 hours. Most of the SW'ers will be between Lonyo and Livernois, sometimes as far as Junction.
