After reading about jm's recent bust I have a question for the concealed carry guys.

If you were caught in a sting while carrying would that be considered carrying a firearm while committing a crime?

Just curious.

If you're caught carrying a firearm while arrested for anything and it is not registered to you and you don't have a concealed weapons permit or whatever they will charge you with whatever they can charge you for with the firearm along with being charged with pandering in a sting. That's about as far as they can go with the charges unless you use your firearm of course.

If you had drugs on you, yes.

The relevant statute is O. C. G. A. 16-11-106, but basically possession of a gun or knife is only a problem for certain crimes. There is a way a prosecutor might try to stretch the statute to cover it, but I don't think it could stick.

So after all the Sweet Hut bs that went on and on it seems I may be getting lucky again. Was at the dealership today getting my car serviced and was getting helped by this girl who has helped me a few times before already a couple months ago. She came up to me when I was in line and told me to come see her again. Somehow, I don't know, the conversation between me and her as I was leaving just started turning sexual when we walked outside together. She was the one who started bringing it up and I think she could tell I had the hots for her too. I don't know what is going to happen with this. As I said before, this kind of thing happens all the time but it was awkward for me.

Another thing to be aware of with WYP, the more you agree on for a date, the more credits you burn to contact her. A $200 date will cost $20 or more in credits and it may not work out. In many cases, I try offering $49 which is the lowest credits you can use (10), because at $50 it starts going up. Of course they don't understand what you're up to, so most of the time that offer gets rejected. But it's worth a try IMO. Obviously, once you're in touch you can make whatever deal you can agree on. Just FYI for what it's worth.

Good to know as I haven't bought / spent any credits yet. All that WYP or SA do, really, is identify and connect willing traders. I've actually connected with one WYP user who offered me a date after being Favorited by searching for her user name and finding her elsewhere on social media. I don't know if that was deliberate on her part, but would be a smart strategy.

I set up an account there after a couple of pretty successful months on SA (same company) because I wasn't going to be "in the game" for the summer. It's basically a pay-per-message model instead of a monthly subscription, but it seems to have a critical mass problem. Right now my normal Atlanta search shows just 13 women meeting my (broad) criteria having been on the site in the last day. Definitely some SA women but it skews a little lower on the quality scale (surely more BP migrants than SA has). I've had a few "offers", but haven't bought credits to reply yet (still not "in the game" But I may give it a shot before re-upping the SA membership next month to see how things go.

There's also some ambiguity around the "pay for a date" thing. I'm sure it can be worked out in conversation, but when somebody offers me a date for $200 or a date for $50 (I have both in my inbox right now), it's hard to know what exactly they are offering before paying to talk to them.
