Differentiation the way I see it:

AMP. Asian Massage Parlor: Typically a storefront, offers 30/60 minute massage / body rubs, and at least HE at the end of the session.

AAMP. Apartment Asian Massage Parlor: Typically an apartment, any massage / body rub is a pretext for FS. The session lasts as long as you do.

Asian Massage Parlors are store fronts, most in this area are owned by older providers that have been around for years. Some in this area rotate like a brothel but still seem to have the same mamson and taking to the girls is how I described in my post. There are some Asian Apartment Massage Parlors like that like the famous one a couple years back that everyone was hitting, sorry for forgetting the name I think it was Alston in a residential area and got closed due to high traffic AMPs typically advertise more in the escort sections and do not give addresses. But then you have the AAMP with two call system that you typically find a girl or two in a crappy apartment or hotel room. Phone numbers stay the same, the person your calling is not on site and the locations of the girls change. Those not all but if your going to find human trafficking or underage girls is were you will find them. That's were ICE really looks. Most the store front AMPs we post here are registered with the town, have board of health permits and are inspected by the board of health. Of course it's for massages not extended menus. AAMPS have no such documents. Best I can explain it.

Some towns have them quietly leave, some make arrests. They loss of BP and CL has made it tougher for LE, use to be once a month they do a search and see who just opened. Busts happen two ways, the town has a policy to keep spas out or someone makes a complaint. If you watch the hobby long enough, you see what towns accept and which do not. In the non tolerant towns like Needham and Wellesley when they are busted they are gone. Google your favorite Watertown or Waltham AMP that has been around ten years. They get popped and right back in business. AAMPs are a different story since some are trafficking. But store fronts are local grandma making a buck or part of the Flushing railroad of middle age women who come here so the people in there town don't know make a nest egg and retire. I have talked to a lot of those girls from the Far East to Lavender. They work here but not at home.

In principle I agree with what you are saying but they can open an investigation based on anything including a rumor. (Down in DC they're spending 10's of millions on an investigation that started that way) Just because what is posted here can't be used as evidence in court doesn't mean someone can't get in trouble with something started by word getting out here. Yes but they would have to use parallel construction. And you are right, investigations that start with hearsay can cost tens of millions to find non-hearsay evidence with parallel construction. That is no doubt what Robert Mueller is trying to do. But for an investigation trying to bust a ho or her client for hearsay concerning sex work, well, good luck finding funding for THAT! And why would they need to? They can fill their quota busting dumb ass hobbiests that pick up LE decoys etc, every single day, with no expensive investigations whatsoever.
