Not long ago the banking laws changed concerning gift cards. To stop money laundering they now won't let you use a US pre-paid gift / credit card on an overseas purchase. SS is such a purchase as their money collecting company is overseas. If someone knows a way to get around this I sure would like to know it so I can get an anonymous SS account.

If you use a rechargeable prepaid, you need to have a real ss num attached to it. But non-rechargeable (one time use) cards will work just fine and don't need real info. Planning to buy a big one myself and sign up on this and on hx.

I had paid a SA subscription back in April with A Vanilla One (it was either a Visa or MC) card. I think I just registered it with a fake name and some local address in some random zip code. It went through just fine.
