I texted the number this past Monday. She was asking for PayPal card from Walgreens $150 instead of cash. Said it was for her security. Also saw a different ad with different pictures with the same number. Too many red flags, I passed.

It is a scam. I played stupid and texted back and forth with "her". I texted using a couple different numbers saying I was in different areas with each number. Each time there was a pause where "she" looked up the address of a hotel in the area to say they were in. Different hotels, same time. Then I say that I'm on the way and picked up the gift card and would give it to "her" in person. No good "she" would say. I had to give them the card number before arriving. Yeah, right. One time I played really stupid and asked for an example of what they were after. They sent a screen shot of a receipt. I used the same image in one of my follow up calls and their response was nice try and pointed out that the receipt was two weeks old. I pointed out that it was the receipt they sent to me. I'm guessing it a scam group from overseas.

Sometimes I amuse myself by playing their game just to waste their time so they aren't scamming someone else. Nothing pisses them off more than when you have wasted their time and you let them know that you have done this to them multiple times before (even if you haven't) and will do so again.

There are so many amateur "selfie" pictures out there, that can easily be used for fake escort ads. These particular pictures, in the middle ad, might be of a high school girl.
