Hello,

I understand that in order to break in to the hobby I need to get verified. However I am really mystified by this risk. Don't these places get hacked sometimes and our names published? I also fear exploitation and blackmail. Am I missing something here? Is there some extra layer of protection I don't know about?

If I don't get verified, what options do I have as a newbie? I realize these are really basic questions so please forgive me.
