Posts: 3748I mainly agree with that. One added note though: Girls who provided shitty service and had to rely primarily on backpage for a steady flow of new clueless suckers will have to drop their rates even if they don't go the street route. Girls who end up advertising on some of the new or previously minor sites which will now fill the void, will be cheaper because they will have to drop their rates after they lose the backpage pipeline of fresh suckers. But they will be just the ones that provide the shittiest service who no one wants to see anyway. : (.

Posts: 3748Does not matter if he signs it or not. There are way more than enough votes to override. I think it's really just a technical matter as to when it becomes law. When it does we may or may not be talking here anymore.

A lot of these girls can't compete with the girls on the high end sites. Theres only a finite amount of mongers paying those prices, and they certainly aren't going to pay those prices for BP level girls.

Posts: 2137My two cents: for UTRs and more exclusive types I suspect the prices would go up. I just spoke to someone who said that usually when something like this happens she finds herself in greater demand then before. That's what happened when CL stopped advertising escorts and before BP took over. People don't have as many options, and also get a bit more concerned about LE activities, so they become more risk averse and revert to "known commodities".

Anyone want to hazard a guess about whether this will put downward or upward pressure on prices?

Posts: 376I have a fear that the president will sign it. He will want to appear tough on prostitution, considering the whole 'Stormy Daniels' scandal.

Posts: 3748Also keep in mind that this Gespapo bill is NOT law yet. The President has not yet signed it. When it DOES become law, the "down for maintenance" may very well become "down forever". So we have a fairly narrow window till it becomes law. It is my hypothesis that all of this "maintenance" going on is technical preparation so that they can QUICKLY take the websites down and cover tracks, when it becomes law. Because at THAT point, the webmasters do indeed become liable. But we are NOT there yet! (I hope they don't bust me for practicing law without a licence, LOL!

Posts: 3748With the "minor" review sites that are still up, I've noticed extensive "down for maintence" time lately. This has been occuring here on USA too, and on most of the other sites that are still up. And I see that there is a big alert, above, about the existence of a "secondary communications channel" in case this site goes too. So they are ALL making contingency preparations. Because, except for the recent swallowing up of backpage by the FBI, the other sites took their adult sections down VOLUNTARILY.
I will continue to post my finds here on USA whenever I can. But the handwriting is on the wall, gentleman. Like the websites, we should be carefully making our own contingency plans, too. Which means private communications.

Posts: 3748Yeah, you may be able to access the ads and review sites with these tricks, but the point is, the PROVIDERS are not going to bite. They have nowhere to advertise for the exposure they need. So we are going to be stuck with the same old pussies to fuck. At present, it appears that the only useful place to find out about new girls is HERE. Other than that, private email.

If they want to go farther, the government can requests all internet's providers to block anyone with.
A US IP address to these sites, even for those servers located out of US.
If they do that, the only way to assess these sites is with a VPN proxy. Dammed it is getting worse.

Posts: 3748Onebackpage now appears to have joined the list of other losers that took their US escort and dating sections down.

Posts: 3748Adultwork is a particulary good site in Europe or us BBFS'ers, because they have an "unprotected sex" field in their search engine. Indeed, I easily found 3 very fine, young hot CIP girls in London on that site a few years ago, and they all followed thru nicely with the bareback full services that they advertised. We have had sites like that here too, in the past, but they never really caught on. Mainly because in Europe, prostitution is still mostly legal. Here, it's mostly not. I don't think that site, or any other European sites, are going to replace backpage or our American domestic review and ad sites, anytime soon.

Posts: 78The females need to use another website that is overseas
www.AdultWork.com
An example of a site in the UK. But there is very little USA girls there. It's up and running. The women need to smarten up and look for alternatives. They relied too much on the BP and CL sites. This is no longer a free country. Before you know it, we'll have to use the dark web to just find a booty call. The days of internet freedom are sadly coming to an end. Hopefully things will soon go forward instead of backwards. But I'm not holding my breath.
P.S. I am still able to access ListCrawler.com aka EscortBabylon on Android. Make contacts and save them before the Feds take that down too.

Posts: 3748Well, it did occur to me that, even if the more tech savvy among us figure out how to access these sites, which are still going strong in Canada and just about everywhere else except the Gulf States and China and now the USA, it still won't solve the problem, really. Because the girls and agencies are not going to jump thru those technical hoops. We may be able to figure out how to access the sites, with foreign proxy servers, etc, but it won't matter, because there won't be any American girls advertising on them.
