Dwyck, Option for Edit Button is available for only a Limited Time After you make a post. If you do not edit within a relatively short timeline, then the edit button disappears. I forget how long it lasts, but am confident the window of opportunity if available somewhere on this site.

If I recall correctly, the same is for the delete post button option that appears above the edit your message display. When it is not available, you can pm Admin to request edit or post I believe.
