There's been a lot of concern here lately about extortion sites that post your pic and phone # with little bon mots, like 'offers $ for sex'. It's not such a big deal if you are using a profile pic that isn't actually you but just looks like you, which a lot of guys pull off successfully. Likewise, for a GV phone # that you can abandon at little cost. At some point, though, I try to provide a real photo. Maybe I'm just insecure that way. One way I have that could combat something like this getting me into trouble is to send your real photo via Snapchat. Remember that it's claim to fame is that messages go away after they have been read. There are some tricks that might be used to preserve a message, perhaps a photo, but they aren't ordinary operation, so unless the 'girl' is planning ahead, she won't be able to have your pic to post. Having a smart burner to access all these apps, that the younger generation of SBs is so used to, is very helpful in my view.

Even on Snapchat you send the picture, they take a screen shot and they have it.

Don't send pictures. The only shortage in the "SD" world is johns who can afford those insanely priced hookers. If the hooker (sorry, SB) you're dealing with won't progress without a picture move on to the next hooker (sorry SB) because there are a lot more hookers (sorry SB's) on those sites than there are john's (sorry SD's) who can afford the crazy rates they want to charge.

I had some trouble with prepaid cards recently, so I just renewed using paypal. I'm not married (have a live-in SO) so I'm not worried about subpoenas and such. I really wanted to keep things as anonymous as possible for the hack & leak issue you mentioned, but its not the end of the world if so, because I've done nothing illegal.

I would not do this if I were married or my assets were on the table in any way.

It's been several months since I had an active membership, I did a month and met some SB's that ended up to be fruitful. I used the Vanilla Visa. Has anyone tried that recently, I was looking at going back active to see if I can restock the pool so to speak.

I use to be able to run a gift card through, after using my monger info to register the card and fill out SA's credit approval form, but now the Visa Gift Card isn't working. SA is running these cards through Hong Kong now (gift cards can not be used internationally). Is there another way? I don't want to use real credit card info. Look at all the hacks and leaks of members. Thank you.

I use my paypal, because if someone tries to hack, I can get PP to fix it. Since I am single I have no worries about anyone looking at my PP purchases. Have not had any problems with SA though because it is month-to month and they don't try to repeat / auto-pay. SD4 Me on the other hand will repeat bill your credit card unless you write to them immediately and request to drop repeat billing. I don't use them anymore because virtually nothing in the SW VA area. There used to be good POT's on there and I met several good ones but their female customer base has gone elsewhere. For the most part I avoid sites that want a credit card because it usually leads to a hack. If I need that I'll get another prepaid CC.

Because it was from almost two years old it was back before I was using GV. As easy as it is to get a name and address from a cell number on the internet, I had visions of a knock on my door while the wife and I were watching TV one night.

Luckily, not only is my SB young, drop dead good looking and sexy AF, she's super smart. A couple of weeks later when we could get together again she showed me the text. She had given my number a fake girls name, a pet name she made up for me.

I know this may seem super cautious, but I recall being on one of those predator sites at one point, which had a search function, and was tempted to search for my number. However, it occurred to me that if I were that site, I would take all such inquiries and turn them around. Send texts to the number, saying you are on our site and you need to pay to be taken off. Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone else think the world is this devious?

If you made contact w / that girl initially through SA, I sure hope you reported her to them. Heck, put up the info about her here. Sometimes they could be lazy and try to use the same pix over again, or the same patter. Just putting up the SA link isn't as good b / c 1) some of us don't have active accounts and 2) if you report her and the page is deleted, no one will be able to see it.

The contact was made through CL so there was nothing to report. I knew it was a scam and more importantly I had done nothing unlawful. She replied to me, there was nothing sexual discussed.

Just checked a site and the photos are hosted my imgur. Shouldn't be a problem getting them removed. But if you google the numbers it comes up toward the top of the search results. F**king asshats. I was emailing with a girl that told me twice she was 19. A day later I get an email saying she's 16 and they were her parents and if I didn't come up with some money they were going to go to the authorities. I knew it was a scam as I hadn't talked to her about anything other than meeting for coffee. I told them to go get f**ked. Be careful out there. I'm 60, and just when I think I've seen it all. Boom!
