AMP standard service is 40. No more. The $100 story is Bullshit or a newbie in love and being played 99.99% BS. If you are in some dream that it will give you anything extra in the future you're delusional. Especially if you are pressed for extra. I once asked someone to take the tip back out after a pouty face and I then exchanged one of the 20's for a 10 on the spot, cause she was just pushing it on top of a half shitty session. Fuck if I care. Complain about a tip. What would you do at a restaurant. Would you put up with it?

However. When you learn to distinguish between the mechanical effort and an effort from someone who puts some thought, effort, skill (god how many useless therapists. And you know it at the first touch) - some one who really cares and tries to make you feel good, and is classy enough not to even count service fee at beginning and end of session. The get the good tips, and fairly so. But it takes a lot to earn $60 at an AMP in my book. Just say in. If you are treated like a gentleman behave like one.

A lot of chatter about standard tips and I agree with delusional MT's expecting standard tips for shitty service as I mention in my recent report with Emily at Z's. Also agree with the standard amounts repeated over and over again, BUT. . .

I've been enjoying this hobby for over 10-years and though these standard tips may vary slightly from city to city, during these years I've noticed the tipping standards have remained the same. That said, as some of you vent in disgust about someone paying above standard by $10, $20 a $100 or more, the fact of the matter is the majority of us tip the standard and majority rules. As another monger posted, its simple economics that dictates these standards as opposed to the few that over tip.

As with any industry, the "good" customers will generally get better service, but it's more than money. I've dated a number of MT's and befriended a few operators so I have an insider's perspective. From what I've gathered, these are the top 3 customer traits, in no particular order, that determine the level of service an MT is willing to provide:

1. Cleanliness or grooming: Should be obvious, but this is why many of the MT's prefer to give us boys a table shower before the massage. A sign you may be a little stinky or dingy is they use a lot of oil to mask your BO or wipe you down before the massage.

2. Attitude and respect: Again, I would think this would be obvious, but many of the gals will tell me how they get guys that think they are hot, but they're not and make them feel like they're doing them a favor by allowing them to grope, finger, kiss. I'm told that in general they assume the younger dudes are cheap, so when the young studs start haggling, you've just confirmed their beliefs.

3. Tip: Amount perceived or promised. If you can settle that before the massage, it may save yourself and the MT both time and disappointment. Perception is determined by points 1 and 2.

As the saying goes, just put yourself in their shoes. In my experience, the bad MT's are as rare as the over tippers. You just have to know how to avoid getting the bad ones, but that is a separate topic. Be safe my fellow mongers and please take care of the good ones so they continue to take care of us.

Shout out to the dude that posted Alexis's phone number last week. I immediately used the information and was at her place hours after making contact.

Went to L massage in Lemon Grove and 1 hr was 40 and 60 tip (I know. Too much). HE with good medium pressure massage. Do not remember her name but she was late 40 Chinese. Thanks for validating my report. Unfortunately, I did NOT see the multiple reviews on Emily at Z's consistently short changing on time. These posts were after a few favorable reviews and I missed them. Definitely overtipped this broad even as standard for a normal massage and she is a perfect example of a delusional MT. Poor service dictates a poor tip. Appearance is a personal opinion and quality of massage as well, but hope she gets the message about her short timing and tip expectations as most of us "In the know" mongers will avoid her.
