I think it's more of reusing the same needles over and over. Your getting a little bit of skin cells in and around the needle not a safe way by any means. On top of that, their using bottled water as a way to mix the drug. Which is not entirely pure water or fit for injections. And I'm sure the drug is not made in a sanitize laboratory probably in somebody's kitchen that is not cleaned properly. Plus what ever filler garbage they might add to the drug to cut cost and maximize profits. Also some of these providers are not eating a balanced meal three times a day and getting proper rest. Lack of rest hurts the nervous system and inhibit their body from fighting infections.

There is waymore to it. They get blood in the syringe, don't attempt to clean it and it is a haven for bacterial growth. Sharing needles give rise to Hep B and C and a host of others. It is about the next fix and not whether they will die from the current one. We did lose 2 WSW in Tville due to this in the recent years. Shelly was the first as far as I know according to this forum.

Then last week I heard Jennifer has passed form the infection also.

And rub a dub brandy just disappeared and she had a infection in her arm with open sours for as long as I have know her.

So that's 2 maybe 3 girls and the 1 girl in pt st john that was in the hospital for 6 weeks fighting it from what I have read.

Is anyone concerned about this at all?

There are a number of others this past year some of whom are friends of the providers. Unfortunately all too common amongst the users and causes other serious complications such as hip joint and heart valve issues. A stay in the hospital doesn't seem to deter them from going back to the habit, Very sad.
