Interesting. I too prefer voice contact, but I usually won't see any girl that doesn't text. When I first establish contact, it's always through texting. This way I can contact many girls at once and test the waters. I elevate to voice contact only when I think I'll actually see the girl. If a girl says "no texting" in her ad, I almost always skip her unless she's well reviewed, well known, and does what I like.
