Damn, well that is horrible timing because I was planning on visiting BT's Dearborn on February 2nd. I wonder if I should cancel my trip.

Business as usual at Bt's Dearborn, as of last weekend. If you don't enjoy BT's just head west on Michigan and you'll find Criket, Flight Club, Bogarts and with a slight side trip, also Henry VIIIs and Landing Strip.

Might eventually being happening but they are still up at Coliseum and they still have the beads at Players.

Anyone have any intel on this place? I haven't read anything in a while, which may be tell-tale. Do they still have curtains? Any mileage? Thinking about visiting.

Stopped late in the afternoon a couple of months ago and it was terrible. Nothing I was interested in.

The heat is on the strip clubs in Detroit. Nothing, at least overtly, has been happening in the suburban strip clubs, I. E. , not in Detroit.

I figured something had to be going on that they got funding to do after SC's because the heat is really crazy now. They always did raids but not to this level. It's going to be awkward for the detroit clubs to pivot to zero to limited extras. I except a few clubs to get rid of dayshift to just closing.

These things happen in cycles. Normally what has happened is that the neighborhoods surrounding the clubs complain about the "spillover effects" of the clubs, I. E. , parking on side streets and some activities related to that parking such as prostitution and drugs, more serious crimes such as shootings and robberies (carjackings) and the like. The strip club owners use to have a rather powerful lobby group that would attend the City Council meetings when things got a tad too hot and proposed city ordinance changes or policy were going to impact their businesses (because yes, they do pay taxes too).

It will be interesting. The well-run clubs will survive and adjust to the increased scrutiny. The not so well run clubs will close.

You do realize that if Detroit city bars stop allowing extras, Detroit metro bars will just raise their prices, and so will the girls. Right now there are a handful of VIP bars, if half of those bars stops allowing extras the other half will raise their prices, it's called supply and demand. The supply goes down, the demand stays the same but the prices go up.

Not necessarily. The supply would be the girls that provide the service would probably flock to the strip clubs outside of Detroit. While the physical space has diminished, I. E. , the number of strip bars providing extras, it doesn't necessary mean that the other bars stop providing extras. Now the supply and quality of girls may change across all the strip clubs, I. E. , blue collar vs. VIP, but that price differentiation already existed (I'm somewhat of a skeptic when I hear some of the "bargain basement" prices reported here at VIP clubs--but that's just me). You might see days when 12-15 girls are on days and double that number on nights (ah the good ole days). Assuming just a shift in supply, the more girls, the downward shift in the pricing for extras because of competition. I'm assuming this because all other factors are constant that impact demand. If there's a simultaneous shift in supply and demand, then it harder to gauge (some consumers forced out because of an increase in extra fees or bar prices).

Any how, I think some shift is definitely possible, but on the margins and not to the extremely. Then again, its all about how consumers respond to price changes. If people stop coming to the strip clubs, then they're out of business. Only time will tell.

I was actually at BT's Dearborn the week of thanksgiving and the male bartender charged me 8 bucks for a club soda. Even the girl who I ended up going in the VIP with was blown away by that. Told her I only came in with X amount and that the drink prices ate into her profits. The girl bartender there who seems to know me by now is pretty lenient on pricing and I tip her accordingly.

The girls there are so hit or miss. Seems only the strung out ones are the only reasonable ones. Found a tiny mixed spinner a few months back willing to do everything for 2 but everything was covered. I feel like I should give Silver Cricket a try this weekend or something.

A stripper at BT's told me there is nude dancing at Pantheon Club. Any confirmation of this?

I have rarely visited the higher-end clubs and have never paid for more than a dance when I did visit. Too rich for my taste. And honestly, I like the atmosphere of the lower end clubs. Everyone knows why we are there, so there doesn't need to be any pretense. When a girl sits down next to me and asks if I want to join her in VIP for fun, I ask her if she minds if I tell her explicitly what I want. They always agree to listen, and they always appreciate my candor, and respectfulness. I explain what I expect and what I am willing to spend. And, at the blue-collar clubs, I can expect that one to one and a half will get me everything I ask. More expensive than that, I expect to have an hour on a large bed with an escort.

For me at least, I have to say "yes and no" to some of your statement. You are absolutely correct about the higher-end clubs. More than a few of the ladies believe they have the "golden pussy" and should receive remuneration as such. But I've found that if you see one that is sitting on their ass at the bar or looks just plain bored because they ain't getting tips, they are more than willing to negotiate. Yes, you're correct about the "blue-collar" clubs. But I find ladies there can haggle to much, I. E, try to nit-pick you for $10-$20 more. As always, I stand firm for what I can afford AND are willing to pay (willing to pay less than what I can afford). In both type of clubs, I've had ladies that want to negotiate in the VIP, and not before. I've always refuse that (well, at least I did till I went to VIP one time with Erica at BT's--big mistake).

The booths are all too small. You've got to find a lady who's a contortionist (you need to be as well) to make things work sometimes. But boy when it does, it brings a smile to your face and a helluva memory.

I can confirm that there is a major crackdown by police vice at the Detroit strip clubs. Some of the recent talent I've met at BT's have stated they've left Detroit clubs recently because of it.
