The "story" goes that CM borrowed some money from a Hobbiest to pay rent, she never paid him back. Made the comment that the guy got played, PJ20 thought it was funny in a post. That's when it hit the fan for both of them. I wake up and both are gone from my network.

I think the T 'and P Group (Torches and Pitchforks) took it a bit too far by excomming PJ20. I thought dings were more than adequate in this case. Much of it, I think, is based on the idea that both CM and PJ20 were part of the same crew. That the comments were made by a male who booked for both of them.

CM never paid back this $1,800 loan she took from AznDancer and then blocked him when he tried to collect six months later. They laughed about it in a blog and admitted that the dude got taken. Then Fubar got pissed off and decided to do a mass excomm on them.

The standard advice, which is good, is to join the "n00 bz" club. Providers who are noob friendly post messages there.

I took a different approach when I first joined. I found two providers who were advertising on both HX and another site. I met up with them through the other site, and at the end of the session told them I was new to HX and asked them to please rate me.
