How about a high rise parking lot? Park near the top levels or less busy levels. Back in so you can see if anyone is approaching. LEA doesn't patrol these areas I think.

I typically have a few streets that I have mentally marked as mine. They are all one ways with various spots that allow me to park with a car in front and one behind. I typically have my mirrors optimized to see both vehicles, traffic street side and pedestrians on the sidewalk side.
