I have a few questions for those that deal with Backpage often. I had not looked at Backpage for months and started again a week ago. I understand the social media links as being BP's way to try and verify a person (but it does nothing). My question refers to all the ads now that just have a phone number and no other information. BP charges, do they charge per word and thus this is cheaper. Is this an easier way for the trolls to put out fake ads. Is this what happens when a person has BP repeat their ad often. Is an ad with just a phone number more likely to be fake. Just curious here.

I've seen those new ad formats for girls I know are real. If I had to guess, I'd say its a new format, whereas maybe some of the remaining ones with titles are being renewed from past postings?

The new format in the dating section on BP does not allow for any ad titles or descriptions. The only inputs available are for phone number and social media link. It appears to be an attempt by BP to prevent the appearance of any pay to play activity within the ad content. Moves like this just prompt the girls to find workarounds and we are already seeing this by description of services and prices showing up on the images that they upload. Or they will just place ads in other sections, massage services for example, where ad titles and descriptions are still allowed.

I would also guess the ads that still have descriptions are coming from renewals. Perhaps there is a phase two that will address those ads?

Thought I give my reviews on the few I've seen over the years.

When I stopped looking on the streets and then stopped call in.

Those damn ads in the phone book I was told about these sites.

Saved me alot of stress and money. I tend to stick to the ones I know.

And TOFTT is to risky for me now days but have had alot.

Of them that was upsetting to say the least. Ok, on with my first reg.
