Sad to say this is true, it happened to me in June this year. I should've known that area on Tele and south of Grand River. After all set and done, it cost me $5. 5 k but avoided jail time. Detroit's new law is street walker is a "public health" issue and 36th judges can't wait to look good on crimes for non-offensive things like this Forget all the killers, murders, drug kings and go after $20 crimes. I hired good attorney and it cost me alot, but saved my ass (literally, haha), career. It is just NOT worth it. Also, this was my second offense (first time was 10 years ago) but I think I got lucky as my Lawyer put it, they may have overlooked the first charge. I did community service, aids test, prostitution class and had to go back to court to show proof of completion. It was the worst time of my life. If this is your second time. Get a good attorney and they can re-write the OTC to disorderly conduct. It will cost you $$$ to avoid Wayne county jail. When this happened to me in June and while I was trying to get my car back, I was told by the the office clerk during these sting ops, they usually round up about 40 cars. Hence it is very profitable to 36th court. Also, I believe that my car was used in joy rides by the keepers while it was impounded, there were many evidence to notice.

I got hit up about 27 years ago on 8 mi. In the middle of it and they came up on me. Put the flashlight on me. Went to the clink for a few hours. A buddy got me out went to 36 did the course and the judge chewed out.

2nd time was about 15 years ago on the avenue near Lonyo. Girl leaned over to discuss and waived le over. Took car this time did the same crap again. Cost about $600 that time.

3rd time was this year. Got pulled over on the are by 7 just for cruising around a few times. They interrogate the shit out of you. I didn't do anything so they couldn't do anything. Then the same LE team was on the ave. I went around the block to get a skinny red. Heading down service dr to get on eway and the same LE pulled me over. We weren't doing anything but they still took the car and you walk. No charges just fines. You can fight it but it will be a month or two before you get a court date. That's how they fuck you.

Actually 93 days is the maximum sentence. With all the human trafficking hype going on the city attorney might push for the max sentence if it is your second offense.
