It is very doubtful that you would ever get questioned from your phone number being with an agency that has gotten busted because the agency would potentially have hundreds of numbers. LE would have to investigate every number or it is a case of Selective prosecution. A defending lawyer would successfully argue why hasn't every client who has called been investigated? Most prosecuting and police agencies like to catch people in the act. It is an easier, less time consuming prosecution for such a low level crime.

There have been times where LE has called numbers indiscriminately and tried to get clients to testify against the agencies in promises of not prosecuting. That's why I wrote the first sentence. If you say nothing, they have nothing against you and it is highly unlikely they would ever call everyone on the agencies list. It is just too much work and not much evidence unless a lot of people talk (giving up their 5th amendment rights).

And if you don't answer your phone when a strange number pops up they won't even be able to ask you any questions.
