Hey guys,

I would really like to see Destiny again, but she does not make arrangements with people who use texting apps. I personally don't have a burner phone and use an app, and I don't intend to get a burner. Do you think it's a bad idea to text with my regular number? I have intel and a request.

Hi. I am back after a few months off. Been lurking, but took a break from posting. So I heard that Skinny Jenny was back and finally had a chance to meet up with her a few months ago. Do yourself a big favor and get a burner. I have a tracfone. They sell a cheap flip phone for $20 and a low-end android for as little as $30. A $100 phone card keeps it active for a year. As you probably know from experience, you don't spend a lot of time speaking with the ladies so you don't need a ton of minutes.

You don't want anyone in this profession to have your real phone number. I don't care who you're seeing or how trustworthy you think they seem.

I love Lucy. I don't know what her deal is, I've been trying to see her for awhile now and she never responds to text or calls. Why not use Google Voice? The text goes straight to your real phone, and you can reply from your real phone, but will look to her as if it's from the Google Voice number. Providers can't tell any difference between a GV text and another text.

I THOROUGHLY disagree. There ARE some VERY well known providers who can and have made ALL KINDS of trouble when they have a real number. I found out the hard way. And I don't mean wives or girfriends finding providers' evidence-I mean REALLY serious PUBLIC outings. It's probably true that there are very few that would ever do that. Probably way less than 1%. But all it takes is ONE. (The particular one I had the misfortune to encounter is long retired thankfully, and was not active in the New England area.) Burner phones cost less than 20 bucks a month. Best investment you will EVER make in this hobby!

You'd have to either be a single guy with no career & very little to lose or a complete & total idiot to use your real number. From a real number it's pretty easy to find a lot of personal info with many apps & google. I keep a burner phone & use a texting app from my other phone, the burner phone costs me 30 every 3-4 months for a new pre-paid card. Only issue is keeping it well hid from the significant other!

No downside as far as she's concerned. I don't think there's much risk using your real number with any of the well-established providers. They have no interesting in causing trouble for you. Only risk would be on your end if you have a wife or gf who likes to go snooping through your phone.
