That's the problem. We hobbyists need to be more disciplined. I usually pay about $160-220 for BBFS with CIP at a minimum and sometimes CIA, and the most I have ever paid was $320 for an exceptional provider with an open menu, CIA. I've even found a couple admittedly unattractive, mediocre providers willing to do BBFS for $100. Unfortunately most lower-cost providers seem flaky and don't have consistent, reliable contact info, so that's the trade off.

Ultimately we have to be the ones to limit price gouging. I'm not saying we should be cheapskates by any means: Most providers wouldn't do it if they could make as much money doing a 'normal' job. But most providers who try get $500 an hr won't quit if they can "only" get about $250-300 hr because that's still way more money than any "normal" job.

I was not denying the fact that someone would charge what they could. The point of my post was that she was worth it in my opinion. It is a free country.
