During the weekdays (like Tuesday to Thursday), a room can cost (after taxes and fees) $60 to 70 a night (as you suggest, like Circus Circus or Stratosphere). But when you hit the weekend nights, even the cheaper places (assuming you want to be on the strip or even Downtown LV) would end up being $150+ (after taxes and fees) a night.
