You can book online with priceline with a prepaid debit. You still have to show I'd on check in and pay a security deposit. Usually they want a credit card, but some will take cash. If you use a prepaid card for the security deposit it has to have a big balance on it because the security hold is usually 2 times the room rate. Laquinta on baymeadows takes cash as do some of the other sketchier places. They still require I'd, but really you are only worrying about your name on a register if your SO knows when and where you were to go look for it.

You can always pay in full online, Priceline, Hotwire etc. Depending on star level they may or may not ask for a hold card at check-in. If you're really a player I know a Monger with a extra credit union debit of his own with online only statement and notices. Good luck.
