JosiesPussyCat was one of my favorites. Then she went kinda crazy on me.

What was the up-charge for that one, and how did you approach that? Just a warning to all of you out there. These sites will rob you blind if you let them. I have found my credit card charged large amounts months after I have cancelled their service (because in general these services suck and most people move on after a month of wasting their money). I tried Seeking Arrangements several months ago and was given a "3-day" trial and after 3 days, I was supposed to be charged $39.95/ month unless I cancel. I figured I would try it out. I went to 3 screens that told me my card would not be charged until after the 3 day trial ended. My card was immediately charged $9. 99. I thought they would refund the money when I cancelled after the trial, so I didn't complain. The next day my card was charged 6 times for $39.95. I contacted customer support and got no response. I then contacted my credit card company and said it was fraud and had my card cancelled and reissued. 3 months later, Seeking Arrangements still has never responded to my dozen e-mails about the charges.

Seriously, I have tried at least one of these hook up sites every year and EVERY ONE of them has tried to charge me more than they stated. Several have waited until six months after I canceled and then started charging me again. This one was the worst and most blatant. Be careful and use a credit (not a debit) card.

I just use a prepaid card. They can't charge me if it doesn't have a balance.

I can't say I experience the same thing though. SA has been a pretty solid resource when I'm looking for something specific in a girl and a non-pro (errr at least not openly advertising anywhere).

If you have a Citibank credit card, you can use their "virtual account number" app to generate a number that is only good for a single charge. You can also set a limit for it too. You can either download an app after logging in, or use their website to generate the number. I use this if I ever sign up for anything I'm worried may be a pain to cancel. If the merchant tries to charge a second time, it's denied. I'm not sure if other card companies have a similar feature, but might be worth looking into.

This confirms all my suspicions. Any sex site requiring a paid membership is suspect to me, especially if they require CC info. I'm sorry you got scammed, but hopefully others will learn from your experience.

LOL. Yeah, this is a crazy bunch. To each their own, no judgement, but this was way way way over my limit. I can't stand the crazy. I'm thinking I may need to find a differently hobby because crazy and drama seem to be a part of the package.

Too often we, as consumers of these services, do a cost / benefit calculation. That's fine. But we really should expand that calculation to a larger one of risk / reward.

So sketchy! I had a chick pass out in my car (a long time ago) & I couldn't get her to wake up. Unless you're really willing to put in some leg work it seems good and reasonably sane providers cost a premium. It seems like there will usually be some combo of drama, dishonesty and scams with reasonably priced providers.

This hasn't always been the case. Until the streets became so scary it used to be possible -occasionally anyway- to find a SW who provided decent, reasonably priced service. They usually weren't the prettiest and oft had issues but not to the extent I feared for my safety. In most cases they weren't able to maintain consistent contact info for more than a few weeks. Another trade off.

There are probably still such providers, but they're so few and far between you really have to put in time and effort to find them. The AA track has become so scary I don't know if it's worth the effort anymore. The last time I picked someone up about 4 years ago it didn't work so well. She asked me to get her cigs and when I returned I could tell she had gone through the glove box. After that I just brought her back to the stroll, told her I wasn't interested and offered her $20 for her time. She said it wasn't enough, demanded $80, and when I denied she refused to leave the car. I actually had to flag down a cop to get her to leave. I'm sure he knew what was going on, but since it was my car and neither of us said anything incriminating he just took down my name and info, wrote a report (I never heard back).

Ever since then I've only checked out the activity but haven't picked anyone up.
