If it's as simple as, read them skeptically and expect a ton of spam if you reply, ok.

This is the answer.

So much SPAM. I would say 0% of the w4 m replies are real, and about 2% of the replies to the ads you post are real. If you post an ad, put something somewhat specific in it, if she replies with an indication that she actually read that, then good chance she is actually a real person. Most are just spam trying to get you to send them your real email. If it doesn't read like a real response, its spam. Best tip if you are new, wait til you get a bunch of replies, if they all seem to follow a typical format, then you know these are the fakes.

I read the CE w4 m ads and wonder, which are real? Which are guys? Which are scams? How do you tell?

The one I had an appointment setup with pulled a no-show. Never gave her name or phone number. I had an appointment setup for 1:45 am and she never answered my emails. Wasted 30 min of my time. The next day, I emailed her wanting to know what happened, she said "She couldn't turn down good money for a "Craigslist Promise". What she doesn't know is that I watched the CL posts and she threw up her post at 11:30 pm. It lasted 30 min before flagged down. So she got a better offer and blew me off. All she had to do is send me an email cancelling, which she didn't do!

Summary

Furthermore, I put my monger email account in the second email and the above response was still sent through Craigslist. So she still wanted to remain anonymous. So guys, based on tlandon's report and my results, it looks like a Scam to me. I'll send a follow up email to meet, if you guys feel there is still a chance, but odds are razor thin she is for real and is in the service business. You may PM or Post. Your Thoughts Appreciated!

There may already be a section for stories or posts like Malibu's, but otherwise a section should be created for post like Malibu's because it basically was just a good story about an experience. Penthouse magazine had a section like that, as I recall.

Other than because you can, Why make a post about someone you have or had no intention on sharing with anyone, well except maybe your brother. Don't take this wrong it's a nice find & all but maybe this is one you may have kept to yourself, but that's always your call.
