Last night while scouting the trail, I traveled south past the overpass heading towards the 7-11 and the gas station / McDonalds when I notice a heavy LEO presence. As I got closer, I saw a covered dead body in the middle of the road that was completely blocked off. I was out this morning and saw the same thing. I think I got out there around 12:30/1 am Or so, and his body was near the left lane under the tarp with blood coming from underneath it. I had driven by multiple times and it was about 3 am or so when CSI showed up and took pictures. Then they had to wait for the coroners to get there to move him, so he was laying in the street until about 4 am when they finally lifted the tarp to place him on the stretcher. I've unfortunately seen worse, but yeah that was pretty bad. What a way to go, damn. I hope the guy gets some justice, and I hope if he has a family, they get the support they need. If it was a hit and run, that person will have a lot on their mind for a long time.

The driver came back about 45 minutes later. Just saw it on the news. Not sure about this particular incident, but I see way too often idiots up and down the trail not using crosswalks. And I include people with small children. And when / if they get across safely, they continue walking the same direction. Way to go people with their little ones by teaching them how to NOT safely cross the street.
