Sorry man that's not correct. That's exactly what the health dept. Does. That's why they're called reportable diseases. The doctors are required by state and federal statutes to give the info to the local HD to help prevent spread of the disease. They will try to contact you. HIPAA prevents those records from being viewed by the public or anyone that doesn't have a legal right to do so.
