The answer is complicated, since I'm married already. L does not want me to hurt the American wife. In 2 years, American wife will retire and wants to move to California. So that's the biggest fork in the road for us. I really do want to marry her. We decided to make the decision in the next year or two. L calls me "Husband" and I call her "Wife". She says her parents call me "American" because "Bob" sounds too much like "Baba" (which means father in Chinese). "Robert" sounds like "radish in Chinese. So she says the family will call me "Meguren" which means "American". For Chinese New Year, we were video chatting with her family, and some cousins. She called me "Zhangfu" (husband) and it caused quite a commotion. Cousins wishing her well. Her parents know we are not married, but the cousins now think we are! Oh what a tangled web!

I PM'd a long answer. But will sort of repeat it here. First, it is entirely up to you. Many customers have limited income, and should never feel they are obligated to pay any certain amount. For an hour, probably $20 - $30 is most typical. (give or take $10). A customer that comes every other week and tips $10 is a very valued customer and much better than someone who tips $40 but only comes once every six months. In my case, I used to add to the tip when somebody would go over the stated massage time. So ten minutes over is probably worth $5-$10 added to the tip. A 90 minute massage is proportionately higher.

Been there done that! Now I am trying to get out to las vegas buy a little place, monger on occasion and watch the tourist spend money! Also being a landlord in a high end downtown area like I have been for the last 2 years (owned for 10) sucks! I don't own a place in the west loop it owns me! Stress? Yep they are called tenants! The more they pay the more they want! Down there one is not a landlord in as much as a concierge! That place is the next to be kicked to the curb! Let's see. Business gone? Check condo gone? Check last drunk crazy hot gf gone? Yep check. Long ago! Ok time to live again!

What does Mei consider a fair appreciation for her services? (Ballpark).

Well said. I've told Mei that when we get married we would sell the business and travel the world. Now, I'm a part time electrician, plumber, accountant, salesman, lawyer, webmaster, cleaning guy, etc.

Thank you again for visiting us. And thank you for your generosity. When I first met her we would argue over the size of the tip also. Our ultimate resolution was to give excess money to charity.

I have a copy of Quickbooks Pro for my business. It's just that Mei would not likely use it. She does use Google Sheets (Google's answer to Excel).

Posts: 2Any suggestions for a first timer in Chicago?
I am new here and want to know what is a good place to get some good massage and some extra services? I am thinking between Oki Doki, Logan Tantricas or independent providers. Any guidance will be much appreciated.

My accountant asked for it. It's expensive and I pay it.

Yes they have offered that, however never partook. I am winding down in my career by choice and found out after along time in the small business ownership game. You don't own a business, a business owns you! Very profitable for me, however extremely stressful. I am in my senior years now and I doubt I will ever open up another business in my lifetime. Once the passion goes so goes the energy to keep it all going. When people would tell me oh you're so lucky you don't have a boss! I said yea I do. Everyone that walks in the door or rings the phone. They are called customers!

This morning was the most thorough deep tissue massage of my recollection. Mei has an impressive power to weight ratio and engineers understanding of "the proper application of leverage. " I found the experience intimate and respectful as is proper for any clinician and their patient.

Posts: 275Quick books vs QB online
The online version allows offsite entry and review. You do have to pay every year however. Cosco I believe has a discount on first year.
