If you don't want the inconvenience of a second phone, and want to "compartmentalize" certain aspects of your life, I'd suggest asking your mobile provider about a dual-sim card phone. Put your regular SIM card in, make it the primary, put in a pay-as-you-go card and use it for the private calls. I'm sure that different phones have security settings that let you keep it privacy protected. Or, if you have an unlocked phone, put a pay-as-you-go SIM card in, store the private SMS and contacts on it, and keep it in your favorite hiding place until you need to swap the cards.

All phones give you a choice to store contacts / SMS messages on the phone or on the card. Choose on the card every time.

Just ask any kiosk worker at the mall, or Sam's, or Costco (depending on who your service is with) about dual sim or if your phone is unlocked.

I had several dreams with providers that started out good and solid. As another member stated in a different thread, you can normally get better rates if you become a true regular. While I certainly understand and respect your opinion Bro Beep, I have a slightly different view. This is great advice. When they reach out, especially if it's not a mass text, it means they need to see you more than you may want to see them so it makes sense to ask for a deal. I also tend to reduce what I'm willing to pay the more I see a provider. If after 3 visits she's not giving a discount then I tend to move on or I don't see her for a while. A lot of them, mainly the drug free ones, seem to like consistency and are willing to give up some $$$ for it.

Probably not fishy (at least not in one way, hopefully not in either way). I do wonder sometimes when this happens to me if it's setup / etc, so it never hurts to do your digging and due diligence.
