Here's the thing: you can be arrested for anything.

Just because a case can't be prosecuted (lack of evidence, etc) doesn't mean you can't be arrested; that's a major inconvenience, since you'll be cuffed, transported, jailed pending bail, and then you have to generally get outsiders involved to handle bail, and you'll have to go to arraignment, etc. You WILL be out time and money, AND you'll have a searchable arrest, AND a permanent arrest record (even if you're exonerated). In the case of certain crimes (prostitution), the threat of arrest alone is sufficient to deter the activity; if you're married, saying "hey, honey, I beat the charge!" isn't getting you off HER hook.

(And yes, you could sue for false arrest or whatever, but would you really want to bring the case to the forefront of notice?

When it's hot like this, the strategic course is always to lay low. Also, it's amazingly uncommon for escorts to actually have a license (which is VERY difficult to obtain, much harder than a liquor license), so even if "escorting" is legal, your escort is probably noncompliant.

Agencies just make the arrest tactic a package deal, since it's essentially like raiding a store.

1. You must be ready to handle the bad publicity you will get in the media. Tons of people lost their jobs, reputation and families because of that. It does not really matter what the trial outcome will be. You are already declared guilty by the media. I believe there are cases where the accused committed suicide.

2. You must be ready to pay top lawyers to fight the new charges the LE is charging people. Some cases drag for years.

3. I believe LE is not totally interested to put johns in jail. They just want the cooperation to put whoever they want in jail and they need confessions.

4. When massage parlors and brothels get busted and if there are illegals working there, all they have to do is to testify they are sex slaves for them to stay in the USA. It does not really matter what the truth is.

5. The bottom line is you have to decide if it is worthwhile to fight it. I believe most johns want to disappear fast from the publicity.

We all hope so. If you check Dekalb county mugshot, you will find the arrest of girls and owners were done around 1/4/17, and the arrest of johns were done on 1/17/17. After that, seems no more johns were busted. I still believe how many johns they plan to bust depends on how long had the LE installed the inside camera. It is my personal thought. Say if LE had installed the camera for a month, I think they may arrest 100 johns. What do you think?

It was in an AJC online article. Can't seem to get a site link to paste here, but just search "AJC Dunwoody escort" and it's the first ajc.com link that comes up, titled "56 arrested in connection with. ".

Most bust of johns were on the 1-17 and I just saw the mugshot. Girls in these two agencies were busted around 1-4. I saw the girl I always wanted to see and I just knew her real name. Hopefully it is over. I think the LE want to convey a message to us: Right now they will go after the johns as hard as they go after owners and girls. I saw many news on internet, but I didn't see the news which indicated that LE were watching on the other agencies. Hopefully not.

Last question is that I am not sure how long had the LE planted the cameras inside? If cameras had been planted around a month, I guess LE would arrest at 100 johns. Any thoughts about this?

Not sure how long had the police installed the cameras inside the apartment. If the cameras had been there more than one month, I guess the LE will arrest hundreds of johns. What do you guys think?
