When you say you're a newbie to this area and this game, you mean you're new to the LA area and to the hobby in general or just the bb? The K-providers have their gatekeepers and is a case of needing references to get in, but need to get in to have references. The topic on how to get started has been discussed a few times. I recall one post that went into great details on how he got started. Take the time to read back the posts. Whether it's 50 pages back or 100, start from the past and work your way to the newest post. There's a wealth of info in the pages that you'll be able to take away. First time posters who simply request information are at best ignored but usually mocked and told to rtff. Happy Hobbying!
