I saw her on Greenfield 4-6 weeks ago and she looked unbelievably bad to be blunt. Shuffling and stumbling, almost hunchbacked and covered in scabs. I have not posted in a long time because I have not been active. This is news I have dreaded for a long time. Aside from a couple of conversations in which I asked her if I could help her get help, I did virtually nothing. I felt like it would be unwise to "become involved". I feel awful she is gone and awful that I didn't do something. I hurt this sweet girl more than I helped her. Thank you to those of you who tried to help her. I'm sorry, Chella. RIP.

Continuing my run of vacation week fun and circling through my regulars, I picked up Nikki again this afternoon. I tried helping her out for several years. Coaching her to give the stuff up but nothing worked. I got in so deep that I met her mother. Sometime after that I had to tell her mother that I didn't think she was going to survive the life. Telling a parent their child isn't likely to survive, well let's put it this way I don't know how medical staff can do it on a regular basis.
